Power, access & secrecy
Hitler ashes and treasure shrine
ConspiracyEvidence status
Unsupported historical allegation
The alleged transport narrative lacks corroborated records.
Editorial assessment of this proposition; not a numeric confidence score.
Claim or proposition being examined
Hitler died, but his ashes and treasure were hidden in Antarctic ice.
Limitations
Different from the survival claim; do not imply the source endorses it.
Scope of catalog verification
Source existence and described claim checked via web search/excerpts; not independent validation of alleged event.
Catalog review date reported: 2026-10-28. This is inherited catalog metadata, not a new verification of the linked source.

Historical expedition context—not evidence of an ashes or treasure shrine. This original German Antarctic Expedition airphoto of Jelbartisen (Westfjord) was taken during Bildflug I on 20 January 1939, image 1/028. The archival photograph records ice and coast; it does not depict or establish the alleged shrine.
Ritscher, Alfred (1942): List of metadata and links to 558 airphotos from DAE. PANGAEA, doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.896262. Original photographs: Archive of German Polar Research (AGPR), Alfred Wegener Institute. CC BY 4.0. Individual camera operator is not identified in the dataset; Ritscher is the cited dataset/report author, not asserted photographer.
No source supports associating the depicted location with Hitler, a shrine or a UFO facility. Coordinates are retained as catalogued and should not be treated as precise aircraft/exposure positions. These historical landscape names do not identify alleged secret sites.
Image source record · Reuse terms
Image rights and evidence limits
CC BY 4.0, explicitly assigned to individual PANGAEA datasets 896262 and 896202. PANGAEA Terms §5.2 includes images as research contents; §6.2 distinguishes CC 0 metadata from CC BY data. Its Binary Objects guide says images are archived as linked files, matching these hosted image-data rows. Thus this is the data-image licence, not a metadata-only licence. Parent publication series 896264 is separately CC BY-NC-SA 4.0; these images are reproduced under the more specific individual dataset licences and does not clear other series materials or the whole report.
Image existence does not prove a linked claim. Consult image-specific captions and reuse conditions.
