Lost Byrd photographs show ancient monuments
AI hoax and synthetic mediaEvidence status
AI-generated artwork misrepresented as evidence
Creator Tim Boucher told France 24 the pictures were generated with DALL-E; the book contained an AI disclaimer.
Editorial assessment of this proposition; not a numeric confidence score.
Claim or proposition being examined
Images circulated as secret expedition photographs supposedly showing Antarctic statues, temples and other ancient monuments.
Limitations
The false evidentiary claim belongs to misleading circulation; do not claim the creator presented authentic photographs. One image-series case, not one record per pictured monument.
