Chart of the South Polar Sea — annotated expedition copy

Historical record

The institution catalogs a June 1839 Hydrographic Office chart with later manuscript tracks associated with John Edward Davis and Joseph Dalton Hooker during the Ross expedition. Printing and annotations are different events; this is not a claim that all later tracks were known in 1839.
