Scope of evidence
Evidence of an original historical map or manuscript, not evidence of hidden lands or a non-spherical Earth.

Three overlapping color scan panels of Lecointe’s Danco Land map and voyage inset, published in 1901 from the 1898 survey. This is a panel overview with visible gaps, not a continuous or seamless reconstruction. Repeated geography results from overlap in the original scans.
Georges Lecointe (1869–1929), survey 1898; Royal Geographical Society, The Geographical Journal, 1901. Color map scan via Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ). Independent public-domain expiry assessment; no institutional licence asserted.
Same named printed chart and publication year as AADC catalog; independent digitization, not clearance to reuse AADC preview pixels. No accessible VLIZ item-specific reuse statement found; reuse rests on the independent-expiry assessment rather than express institutional permission.

Image rights and evidence limits
Independent public-domain assessment for the map only: English-language map published in 1901, named map author Georges Lecointe died 1929; term expired in the US and under UK/Belgian life-plus-70 rules. No additional named engraver appears on the inspected map. This does NOT clear the entire article by Henryk Arctowski (died 1958), nor unrelated VLIZ materials. VLIZ PDF has no explicit map-specific licence; no claim of CC 0/CC BY or express VLIZ permission. Exact old map pixels only, no website editorial text or modern illustrations.
Image existence does not prove a linked claim. Consult image-specific captions and reuse conditions.
