Scott’s letter to Bridgeman — edited extract published in 1913

The 1913 printed version of Scott’s farewell letter to Bridgeman, shown as two page excerpts separated by a gray gutter. The historical edition contains omissions, visibly marked by ellipses; this is not a photograph or a complete transcription of the autograph letter later revealed in full.

Robert Falcon Scott, letter to Vice-Admiral Sir Francis Charles Bridgeman; edited published text in Scott’s Last Expedition, vol. 1, arranged by Leonard Huxley (Smith, Elder, 1913), pp. 600–601. Museum Victoria / Biodiversity Heritage Library, via Internet Archive. Public domain.

This is an edited transcript with visible separation between source-page excerpts. This supplies a genuine published extract of the same letter but does not clear the Cambridge/SPRI manuscript photograph. Full source pages are supplied separately and include portions of letters to other recipients.
